IIT Kharagpur invites applications from the Indian nationals for filling up of the following posts :
1. Deputy Registrars
Pay Band: Rs.15600 – 39100/- (PB-3) + Grade Pay Rs. 7600/- and allowances as admissible.
Qualification & Experience:
A postgraduate degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of ‘B’ in the UGC 7 point scale; along with:
(i) 9 years’ of experience as Assistant Professor in the AGP of Rs.6000/- and above with experience in educational administration, or
(ii) Comparable experience in research establishment and/or other institutions of higher education, or
(iii) 5 years’ of administrative experience as Assistant Registrar or in an equivalent post in IITs / University System / Research Institute / Central Government Departments.
Desirable:
Experience / Exposure to computer based Finance & Accounting / Audit / Academic / Purchase & Stores/ Establishment will be preferred.
2. Assistant Registrars
Pay Band: Rs.15600 – 39100/- (PB-3) + Grade Pay Rs. 5400/- and allowances as admissible.
Qualification & Experience:
A postgraduate degree or equivalent with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of ‘B’ in the UGC 7 point scale along with a good academic record.
Desirable:
(a) 3 years experience at supervisory level;
(b) Experience in Computer System & Applications, Office Automation.
3. Senior Administrative Officer (Finance & Project Management) (on contract)
Pay Band: Rs.15600 – 39100/- (PB-3) + Grade Pay Rs. 7600/- and allowances as admissible.
Qualification & Experience:
The candidate should be Chartered Accountant/Cost Accountant/MBA (Finance) or equivalent with proven skills in the areas of Financial Management, Cost Control, Budgeting, Internal Audit, Investment and Project Management with adequate exposure to computerization and modern office management. Should have minimum post qualification experience of 8 years in posts carrying a pay scale of Rs. 8000-275-13500/- or equivalent in Government/Public/Private Sector.
4. Executive Engineer (Civil) : 2 Nos. (on contract/deputation/re-employment)
Pay Band: Rs.15600 – 39100/- (PB-3) + Grade Pay Rs. 6600/- and allowances as admissible.
Qualification & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent with at least 8 years experience in the execution/supervision/maintenance of large Civil Works as Assistant Engineer, Engineer, Project Engineer or its equivalent.
Desirable:
(i) Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering;
(ii) Post Graduate Diploma in Construction Management/Structural Engineering
(iii) Preference will be given to the candidates experienced in coordination and supervision of constructions and maintenance of civil works including Public Health. The incumbent should have experience in contract management, tendering, planning, works accounts procedures, byelaws of local bodies, etc., and handling construction projects of multi-storied buildings and have experience in planning/estimating/tendering as per CPWD/PWD norms and should have knowledge in structural design, drawings, detailing etc.
5. Engineer (Civil) : 2 Nos. (on contract/deputation)
Pay Band : Rs.15600 – 39100/- (PB-3) + Grade Pay Rs. 5400/- and allowances as admissible.
Qualification & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent with at least 5 years experience in the execution/supervision/maintenance of large Civil Works as Assistant Engineer, Engineer, Project Engineer or its equivalent. Preference will be given to the candidates experienced in coordination and supervision of constructions and maintenance of civil works including Public Health. The incumbent should have experience in contract management, tendering, planning, works accounts procedures, bye-laws of local bodies, etc., and construction projects of multi-storied buildings and have experience in planning/estimating/tendering as per CPWD/PWD norms and structural design, drawings, detailing etc.
6. Junior Engineer (Civil): 6 Nos. (on contract/deputation)
Pay Band: Rs.9300 – 34800/- (PB-2) + Grade Pay Rs. 4200/- and allowances as admissible.
Qualification & Experience:
Diploma in Civil Engineering or its equivalent with at least 2 years experience in the execution/supervision/maintenance of a large civil works.
7. Physical Training Instructor: 5 nos.
Pay Band: Rs. 9300-34800/- (PB-2) + Grade Pay Rs. 4200/- and allowances as admissible.
Qualification & Experience:
Master’s Degree in Physical Education with one year of relevant experience OR Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education with 3 years of relevant experience in Sports and Games / Swimming Hockey and Gymnasium at University or State or National level.
Desirable:
NIS diploma in the field of sports indicated above. Experience in coaching Sports and Games activities / Swimming & Gymkhana activities at University / College level. Proficiency in more than one game.
General Information:
1. Reservation for ST/SC/OBC/PH/Ex-Serviceman as per Central Govt. Rules.

7. The Institute reserves the right to relax experience in exceptional cases, or in the case of persons already holding analogous positions in a Central Technical Institute/University/research institution.
8. The Institute reserves its right to offer lower post if the candidate is not found suitable for the post applied for. Higher initial basic pay may be given to exceptionally qualified and deserving candidate(s).
9. The upper age limit for posts at Sl.Nos. 4 & 5 is 40 years, Sl.No. 6 is 35 and Sl.No. 7 is 32 years as on date. Age relaxation for SC/ST and women candidates is applicable as per government norms. Age relaxation may be given to the candidates having more experience/qualifications.
10. Relaxations in qualifications and eligibility criteria will apply as per MHRD/UGC norms.
11. The Institute also reserves the right of rejecting any or all the applications without assigning any reasons thereof.

The department of Computer Education and Technology Aids (DCETA), NCERT New Delhi has published the walk in interview for the post of Junior Project Fellow and Computer Assistant. This is contractual basis walk in interview for the maximum period of two years. The work of the CAs and JPF has to corporate to the various PAC of the DCETA. Candidates should report to the DCETA office before the 30 minutes of the interview. The candidates have to bring the original documents at the time of interview.

M.Sc with 55% marks with the computer Knowledge.
Conversant with operation of computer and use of internet for research
Teaching experience in any school

03 Senior Administrative Officer Finance and Project Management Remuneration will be paid on the basis of (PB- 3) It means 15600 to 39100 with Grade Pay – 7600 Candidates should have Degree of CA/MBA/ with Minimum 55% Marks from Recognized University Experience in regarding field -
04 Executive Engineer Remuneration will be paid on the basis of (PB- 3) It means 15600 to 39100 with Grade Pay – 6600 Candidates should have Graduate Degree in civil engineering or its same P.G Degree in civil Engineering/P.G Diploma in Management and Engineering 3 years experience in civil works /Assistant Engineer /Engineer/ Project engineer.
05 Civil Engineer Remuneration will be paid on the basis of (PB- 3) It means 15600 to 39100 with Grade Pay – 5400 Candidates should have Graduate Degree in civil engineering or its same - 3 years experience in civil works /Assistant Engineer /Engineer/ Project engineer.
06 Junior Civil Engineer Remuneration will be paid on the basis of (PB- 3) It means 15600 to 39100 with Grade Pay – 4200 Candidates should have Diploma Degree in Civil Engineering, - 2 years Experience in related field
07 Physical Training Instructor Remuneration will be paid on the basis of (PB- 3) It means 15600 to 39100 with Grade Pay – 4200 Candidates should have Master degree in Physical Education OR Bachelor degree in Regarding field NIS Diploma in field of Sport 3 years Experience in common field
