The Tamilnadu State Council for Science and Technology realizes all year the
outstanding research work / skill/ talent acquired through Scientists and Technologists in the following subjects: Agricultural Sciences; Biological Sciences; Chemical Sciences; Environmental Sciences including Earth, Atmosphere, Ocean and Planetary Sciences; Engineering and Technology; Home/ Social Sciences; Mathematical Sciences; Medical Sciences; Physical Sciences and Veterinary Sciences through an award named `Tamilnadu Scientist Award’ (TANSA).

Eligibility for Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology 2011:
Any native of Tamilnadu busy in research/ innovation/ feat in any area of science and technology in Tamilnadu is qualified to apply for TANSA honor. The TANSA will be warded on the basis of research contributions made/skill/talent acquired in Tamilnadu during the 10 years preceding the year of honor.
