SSC Junior Translator 2011 Recruitment Exam CSOL

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts Junior Translator (CSOL) exam for recruitment to the post of Junior Translators (CSOL) a Group B posts (Non-Gazetted Ministerial) in several Offices/ Departments under Department of Official Language throughout the India; SSC may be recruited similar posts in 2011.

Eligibility for Junior Translators (CSOL) 2011:
Qualification:
Master Degree or equal in Hindi or English with English and Hindi as compulsory
OR
Master Degree or equal in any discipline other than Hindi or English with Hindi or English Medium and English
OR
2 years experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice-versa in Central of State Government Offices containing Govt. of India Undertakings.
Age:
30 years

Selection Procedure for Junior Translators (CSOL) 2011:
Selection based on Written Test, Personal Interview and According to Rule and Regulation of govt of India.
Written Examination:
It will consist of 2 papers of 2 hours duration each carrying 200 marks each:
Paper I
Subject: 1. General Hindi, 2. General English
Marks: 100, 100
Duration: 2 hours
Paper II
Subject: Translation & Essay –
a) Translation of 2 passages (1 each from Hindi to English & vice versa)
b) 2 Essays – 1 each in Hindi & English
Marks: 200
Duration: 2 hours
